Alex
Alex came to Danceworks in August of 2002 in search of dance classes for his girlfriend – and has been here full-time ever since. He started out in reception, began doing data entry and, once we realised he had obtained a B.A. in business back home in Colombia, soon began working in IT and accounts. In his spare time, he also serves as a Duty Manager. Although he is probably our only staffer with no background in dance, he looks the part. “Everyone asks me if I’m a dancer”, Alex says. “A couple of teachers have told me that I have a body that would be good for ballet. I don’t see myself wearing a leotard – but lately I’ve been thinking about it”. Meanwhile, he continues his passion for the martial arts through Capoeira and Krav Maga classes.
