Roulla joined Danceworks in March 2002 – a return to the dance world after 7 years away. “When I wasn’t dancing, it was the unhappiest time of my life”, Roulla says. “Dancing is my therapy”. Roulla studied dance at Roehampton University and is a qualified ballet teacher, but worked as everything from billing coordinator to tanning shop manager before she came back to dance and Danceworks. She loves the atmosphere at Danceworks: “it’s just a total buzz…everyone has got a really good attitude”. As Reception Manager, she makes it a priority to maintain the vibe. She is always up for a laugh and is proud of her cameo role in a Ms. Dynamite video. A talent scout spotted her behind the desk at Danceworks – and before she knew it, she was on MTV.
