Danceworks wide range of classes offer a myriad of disciplines and styles for everyone. Whether you are a novice looking to learn social dance or a professional continuing training, you’ll find something here the fits your needs. Below are some tips to better understand our class schedule and the best way for you to get involved. If you are having difficulty choosing a class you can always contact the Danceworks staff to assist. Any choice to participate at Danceworks is a good choice.

Classes are divided into categories first by genre:

Dance | Fitness | Martial Arts

Then by style:

Ballet |  Commercial | Contemporary | Jazz | Tap| World

And then, finally, identified by specific class description:

Russian Ballet | Commercial Funk | Salsa | Tap It Up | Total Tone Sensation | Hatha Yoga| Aikido etc.

For more information about a class, simply go to the Daily Schedule and place the cursor over the class title. A description will appear in a small window. You could also go to the profile of the instructor and learn about their training and what to expect in their sessions.

To find the right grade of class to take, use the Level Descriptions below.

Beginner: Classes for those new to dance. Focuses on technique fundamentals and terminology at a slow pace.

General/Elementary: For those with dance experience looking to improve their foundation. Moves quickly and understanding of terminology and technique is expected.

Intermediate: Class for the student with previous dance training. Fast paced, focusing on rhythm, style and self expression leading to challenging choreography.

Advanced: Pre-professional level for dancers with complete command of terminology,technique, rhythm and style.

Professional: A fast paced, demanding class for working professionals.
