Emma Northmore

Classical Ballet

Emma trained at Elmhurst ballet school and English National ballet school and then started her professional career with London City Ballet. From there she went to Phantom of the Opera and after 3 years gained a place at English National Ballet, achieving a promotion to First Artist and performing roles such as Clara in Nutcracker, finger Fairy and white cat in sleeping beauty, cygnets in Swan Lake and Dawn in Coppelia to name but a few.

After 8 years she returned to Phantom of the Opera and has now left to be a freelance dancer, focus on her teaching and enjoy more time with her daughter, Lara. 

Having a wide base of experience, including various open and master classes across the UK and stints at Hammond School and the London Studio Centre, Emma is looking forward to teaching in a friendly, supportive and professional atmosphere.
