Nelson Batista

Originally from Havana, Cuba, Nelson Batista came to the UK in the late eighies and was the first Salsa instructor in the country. Known as the “Godfather of UK Salsa” and widely acknowledged as the leading authority in this field, Nelson teaches in a number of venues throughout the UK and regularly holds workshops both in London and nationwide. Nelson is a fellow of the UKA (United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dance)and also the President of their Club Latino Division.
